Cannabis education

We understand the world of cannabis can be overwhelming. Here's the plain-English rundown of the main cannabinoids โ€” and our staff is always happy to help you choose. No medical card needed.

Raw cannabinoid

What is THCa?

THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a non-psychoactive compound found in raw cannabis. When exposed to heat or light, THCa converts into THC โ€” the well-known psychoactive component of cannabis. This conversion is called decarboxylation, and it's what unlocks the intoxicating properties when you smoke, vape or cook it.

๐Ÿง˜
Non-intoxicating

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound in the resinous flower of cannabis โ€” a plant used as medicine for thousands of years. A safe, non-addictive substance, CBD is one of more than a hundred phytocannabinoids unique to cannabis. Many people seek it as an alternative to pharmaceuticals with harsh side effects: CBD can provide relief for chronic pain, anxiety, inflammation, depression and many other conditions.

What is CBN?

CBN (cannabinol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid that may have antibacterial, neuroprotectant, appetite-stimulant and anti-inflammatory properties. It's also said that CBN combined with THC can have a sedative effect โ€” which makes it a favorite for winding down at the end of the day.

What is THCV?

Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) is a psychoactive cannabinoid found most prevalently in sativa strains of cannabis. It produces a more motivated, alert and energizing feeling of euphoria. For this reason it's often recommended for daytime โ€” or any time when staying functional matters.

Before you begin

โš–๏ธ Do I need a medical card?

No โ€” you do not need a medical card to purchase at our dispensary. We serve both recreational and medical customers. You must be 21+ with valid ID (medical patients 18+ with a valid medical card).

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Side effects

Cannabis affects everyone differently. Common mild effects include dry mouth, red eyes, increased appetite and drowsiness. Start low and go slow โ€” especially with edibles, which can take 30โ€“90 minutes to kick in.

๐Ÿงช Drug testing

THCa and THC can show up on a drug test. If you're subject to testing, ask our staff about CBD-only or lower-risk options โ€” and when in doubt, abstain before a test.

๐Ÿค How do I choose?

Our knowledgeable staff is here to help โ€” whether you're brand new or experienced. Tell us what you're after (relaxation, sleep, focus, relief) and we'll point you to the right flower, edible, tincture or topical.
